Adult volunteer trips and medical missions

As an adjunct to providing critical financial support to the projects described above, Pathways also takes American students and adults on transformative volunteer trips to work in the facilities and with the children and families they serve.  These trips not only provide essential human support to the places they travel to, but also allow the volunteers to witness the determination and resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power that comes from helping others, restoring hope.

Trips are customized to fit your groups specific interests and are scheduled to your groups availability.  Currently we are only booking group trips, however if you are an individual who wants to go on a trip, let us know!  We may be able to fit you in with a group!  Our trips go to India, Ethiopia and Colombia.  Please contact us for more information!

Pathways To Children was honored to take 16 illustrious alumni from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health to Kolkata in January, 2015. The group volunteered at Pathways To Children’s Jan Seva School and Clinics and also at Dr. Devi Shetty’s Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital.

A result of this successful trip, Pathways is now partnering with the School of Public Health in developing an overseas field experience for two current graduate students.

The graduate students will (1) Evaluate and document the impact of Jan Seva’s educational, medical and special needs programs (2) Developing a nutritional program for the children and mothers (3) Implement a mother’s health education program. This 4-6 week program is expected to begin in early 2016.
