Pathways to Children, with funds predominantly secured by founder Grace Strangis, was able to build a beautiful orphanage/school in the village of Thodupizha in the state of Kerala.  It is called the Home of Grace.   This was the result of a Pathways volunteer group to Kerala who witnessed the horrible orphanage conditions after the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004.

Pathways partnered with a local NGO, St Jude’s Charitable Trust, which is run by a devoted couple, Elizabeth and Rajan Abraham. They also founded and run another orphanage in the area. Because of changes in adoption laws and procedure in Kerala, this facility has been turned into a technical training center boarding school for impoverished young men who have dropped out of school.
