Zemene’s School Update

Pathways to Children and the JDC have begun work on the school in Zemene’s village.

Thanks to all your support, Pathways is able to announce that we have begun to build the school in Zemene’s village in Ethiopia!  The location of the school is just over 100 miles away from Gondar city, in an area called Belessa.

Currently there are seven teachers in the area, all ready to teach the over 500 1st – 4th graders.  These 500 students will be coming from over 200 households.   Officials have said the building of the school would assist children who would otherwise walk close to 4 miles (each way) in order to attend their 5th and 6th grade classes.

Thanks to Menor Melkam, Zemene’s Uncle, for all his hard work in helping us move forward in our efforts!
